School Wide Behavior Plan
Objectives:
- To establish regular, predictable, positive learning and teaching environments.
- To model and teach behavioral expectations for students.
- To provide regular positive feedback for students when they are behaving in a manner expected of them.
- To improve social competence in students.
- To develop school environments which support academic success.
School Goal:
Students at June Creek Elementary School will display responsibility, respect, integrity and perseverance required of productive members of the global community in the 21st century and beyond.
Teacher and Staff Responsibilities:
Teachers and Staff will:
- Teach model and practice each of the behavioral expectations.
- Acknowledge student behaviors which meet expectations.
- examples: Thank you for walking so silently in the hallway. Thank you for showing responsibility by putting your items where they belong.
- Utilize practices to support positive student behavior
- Interact positively with students
- Always being aware of and looking around at students
- Consistently moving in and around students
